Axari means Apache, PHP and MySQL bundled together in a self-install package for Windows 9x.
First of all, be warned that there's really no reason why you should still use this package, unles you're REALLY lazy and don't want to download and set up the latest versions for the above packages yourself. Be warned however that the versions in this package are pretty old, you may end up missing features. It only works on Windows 9x, and using it for any kind of production environment would be crazy. Basically, it is only provided here for historical reasons.
Axari offers an extremely simple to install and use web development platform for Windows 9x environments. I know sane people don't do web development under Windows 9x. Axari isn't meant for the guy who can whip up and tweak his own webdev environment to perfection in half an hour using source packages. It's meant for the newbie with a Windows 9x machine laying around, who'd rather point and click and get fully operational in 2 minutes.
This package contains the following:
What else you get:
Errors may be there. I tried my best to cope with the Windows specific quirks and NSIS is a great install-kit maker, but I don't guarantee 100% success.
This version is called "LE" (Light Edition) because the prototipe (v0.x) was supposed to include Perl as well as full docs. It would've resulted in too big a package (~25 Megs) and I was trying to keep Axari around max. 10 Megs.
This package is no longer maintained. There will be no further versions and please do not contact me with support-related questions.
This package can be distributed and used freely as long as it is not modified. If you host it on a website I'd appreciate a link back to this page. I assume no responsability for anything that might happen because you started the installer, unpacked the package or used anything in it.
